# Fees & Payments policy

**Buying equipment.** You pay the item price plus a Service fee of 5% + 50p per order. We show the total on as its own line at checkout, before you pay. Postage is extra where the seller charges it.

**[Booking](https://help.horsemarketplace.co.uk/encyclopedia/booking/) a lesson, arena, livery, experience or hire.** The price you see is the price you pay. There are no additional [Booking](https://help.horsemarketplace.co.uk/encyclopedia/booking/) fees.

**Enquiring about a horse, pony, horsebox or trailer.** Free. You agree the sale directly with the seller, and no money for the horse or vehicle passes through Horse Marketplace.

**Selling.** Our seller fee is 8% and includes card processing, so nothing else comes off your payout. It is lower on monthly plans: 6% on [Private Seller](https://help.horsemarketplace.co.uk/encyclopedia/private-seller/), 5% on Business and 4% on Business Unlimited. To advertise a horse, pony, horsebox or trailer you need a [Private Seller](https://help.horsemarketplace.co.uk/encyclopedia/private-seller/) or Business plan, from £14.99 a month.

**Refunds**. If an equipment order is refunded, the Service fee is refunded with it. [Booking](https://help.horsemarketplace.co.uk/encyclopedia/booking/) refunds follow our [Booking](https://help.horsemarketplace.co.uk/encyclopedia/booking/) Cancellation Policy. Nothing is deducted for card processing.

**Paying by card.** We never add a surcharge for paying by card.
