It takes about two minutes, and there's no password to remember: we email you a sign-in link each time. ## Before you start You'll need: - An email address you can open on the device you're using - Your mobile number - Your UK address (you can search by postcode) If you plan to sell, you'll also verify your identity with our payment partner, Stripe, and add the bank account you want to be paid into. You can do that after signing up. ## Step 1: Fill in the sign-up form 1. Go to [horsemarketplace.co.uk](https://www.horsemarketplace.co.uk) and click **Sell Now** in to top right navigation menu. 2. Under I want to sign up as, choose: ◦ **Buyer** if you want to browse, enquire, buy and book. ◦ **Seller** if you want to create listings. A seller account can still buy and book other peoples listings/services. 3. Enter your First Name, Last Name, Email and Phone Number. 4. Start typing your address or postcode in Shipping Address and pick it from the list. If it doesn't appear, click Can't find it? Enter address manually (incl. PO Box). 5. Tick I agree to the Terms & Conditions. Ticking the marketing emails box is optional but recommended for platform updates. 6. Click Send magic link. Use your real name. If you sell, it needs to match the name on your ID check. ## Step 2: Open your magic link 1. Check your inbox for an email from Horse Marketplace. 2. Click the sign-in link in the email. You'll be signed in and your account is ready. 3. Open the link on the same phone or computer you signed up on, and use the newest email if you requested more than one. 4. **Signing in next time:** click **Sign In**, enter your email and click Send magic link. There's no password to set or reset. ## If you're buying or [Booking](https://help.horsemarketplace.co.uk/encyclopedia/booking/) You can start straight away. Nothing else to set up. - **Horses, ponies, horseboxes and trailers:** click Contact seller on an advert to ask questions or arrange a viewing. Enquiring is free. The sale is agreed directly with the seller, and no money for the horse or vehicle passes through Horse Marketplace. - **Lessons, arena hire, livery, experiences and horsebox hire:** pick a date and pay by card. The price you see is the price you pay, with no [Booking](https://help.horsemarketplace.co.uk/encyclopedia/booking/) fees. Most bookings are confirmed by the host before they go ahead. - **Tack and equipment:**add to your basket and pay by card at checkout. Postage and any fees are shown before you pay. **Stay safe:**look for the ID Verified badge on the seller, and never send money for a horse or horsebox before you've seen it in person. ## If you're selling: three more steps Sellers are ID-checked through Stripe, our payment partner. Choose a plan Which plan you need depends on what you're [Listing](https://help.horsemarketplace.co.uk/encyclopedia/listing/). Selling tack or taking bookings needs no monthly fee. Your advert stays live while your plan is active. If you have a discount or founding-member code, enter it when you choose your plan. Verify your payment details and identity Verification has two parts: a payment check with Stripe, then a personal ID check with Horse Marketplace Verify. Together they take just a few minutes to complete and are a one time process. **Part A: Payment verification (Stripe)** We use Stripe, the payment company, to check your payment identity and pay you. We never see or store your payment or ID documents. 1. In your Seller Dashboard, click the alert banner to start the payout setup. 2. Stripe asks for your name, date of birth, address and the bank account you want to be paid into. It may also ask for a photo of your ID. 3. When Stripe has verified your payment details, the Payment Verified badge appears on your profile automatically. **Part B: ID and face check (Horse Marketplace Verify)** 1. Once your payment details are verified, we email you a secure link to Horse Marketplace Verify. 2. Open the link and photograph your driving licence or passport. 3. Take a live selfie, so we can check it matches your ID. The whole check takes about 3 minutes. 4. When the check is complete, your account is enabled and the ID & Face Verified badge appears on your profile and listings. Once your ID check is complete, the details you submitted are deleted. Horse Marketplace never stores them. All listings on Horse Marketplace are approved only once you have both the **Payment Verified** and**ID & Face Verified** badges, and you need both before you can be paid, so it's best to do it now. Create your first [Listing](https://help.horsemarketplace.co.uk/encyclopedia/listing/) Add photos, a description and a price. We review every advert before it goes live. Check the email address was typed correctly. To get a new link, go to [Sign In](https://www.horsemarketplace.co.uk/signin) and click Send magic link again. **The link says it has expired or doesn't work.** Request a new one from [Sign In](https://www.horsemarketplace.co.uk/signin) and open the newest email, on the same device you're signing in on. **I can't find my address. Click Can't find it?** Enter address manually (incl. PO Box) and type it in. **I signed up as a Buyer but want to sell.** [Contact us](https://help.horsemarketplace.co.uk/support-ticket/) and we'll switch your account to a seller account. **My Stripe check is stuck or was declined.** Go back to your [Seller Dashboard](https://www.horsemarketplace.co.uk/seller-dashboard) and reopen the payout setup.
